Currently, over 1400 people live in Zurich's asylum centers who were forced to leave their homes due to war, terror and persecution - in search of a better life for themselves and their families. Often living alone, in a confined space, in a country foreign to them.
Christmas gives us the chance to invite over 1400 refugees with a gift and a welcoming message to participate in our holiday traditions and be part of our community. Give a gift or make a donation now until 15 December 2023!

HOW YOU CAN GIVE A GIFT
1. WRAP THESE 3-4 ITEMS AS A GIFT
Get the 3-4 listed items for men, women or children and wrap them as one gift in the corresponding color. Together with the operator of the asylum centers AOZ we suggest the following gifts which are especially helpful in winter for the residents of the shelters. We kindly ask you to include all the items listed in new or as-new condition to avoid differences in packages received. If you want to donate larger quantities of new or as-new items listed below, please contact us.

2. WRITE A CHRISTMAS CARD
Write a Christmas card with welcoming words (German or English) and attach it to the gift.

It may be difficult to buy and drop off a gift for you. That's why you can also donate the value of a gift. We will then get the items for you, wrap them and attach your message (in the "Remarks" field). Every Swiss franc helps!

Züri schenkt is organized by Global Shapers Zurich. The volunteer project was initiated by Julius and Janina Scheidt as well as Alex and Yagmur Stöckl. If we collect more than 1400 gifts, all further donations will also benefit refugees and those in need.
